چکیده
Keggin-type aluminum-oxo polycations are effective coagulating agents for wastewater treatment. Previous work demonstrated that heteroatom substitution in ε-Al13 polycation leads to the formation of ε-GaAl12 and ε-GeAl12 can enhance removal bacteria, DOC, turbidity from wastewater. Additional hydrolysis species creates larger Al30 improves coagulation performance, but this aspect has not been evaluated systems. In current study, ε-Al13, ε-GaAl12, was promoted through hydrothermal aging evaluate overall solution stability/behavior water treatment efficiency. Turbidity measurement aged indicated Ga-substituted Keggin remain stable solution, DLS studies greater diversity particle sizes within system. Thermogravimetric analyses metal hydroxide formed during indicate GaAl12 system behaves more like an amorphous Al(OH)3 phase, which higher solubility than other aluminum phases. Aging did significantly change % humic acid (HA) removal, as all solutions showed high efficiency at studied pH values. good ranges, with enhanced performance 5. The contain relatively oligomers, may contribute contaminant removal.

Humic acid removal from aqueous solutions by peroxi-electrocoagulation process
Background: Natural organic matter is the cause of many problems associated with water treatment such as the presence of disinfection by-products (DBPs) and membrane fouling during water filtration. In this study, the performance of the peroxi-electrocoagulation process (PEP) was investigated for the removal of humic acids (HAs) from aqueous solutions. Methods: PEP was carried out for the remov...

Pyrene removal by polycation-montmorillonite (MMT) composites and granulated activated carbon (GAC) in the presence of humic acid (HA) was examined. Pyrene, HA, and sorbent interactions were characterized by FTIR, fluorescence and zeta measurements, adsorption, and column filtration experiments. Pyrene binding coefficients to the macromolecules were in the order of PVPcoS (poly-4-vinylpiridine-...
متن کاملThe simultaneous removal of turbidity and humic substances from water using the enhanced coagulation process
This study aimed to investigate the efficiency of the enhanced coagulation (EC) process for the simultaneous removal of turbidity and humic substances (HS) from raw water from the Sanandaj Water Treatment Plant (SWTP). This study was conducted on a laboratory scale using a jar test device and ferric chloride (FeCL3) as the coagulant. Accordingly, the effects of pH and coagulant dosag...
